Here at Little STEMs we are always looking for great people to join our pool of Lead and Assistant Facilitators. We want to hear from people who are passionate about developing children and see their potential. Don't be put off if you dont have a STEM background as we develop all the neccessary material but of course it does help.

Lead Facilitator role

Little STEMs Lead Facilitators

 

We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible, creative and inspiring facilitators to lead our Flight School and other courses.  Tasks will include activity set up, informal teaching, leading  activities, guiding children with activities, ensuring health and safety is maintained, answering parents questions and most importantly, being an inspiration to the children.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience with primary aged children.  A teaching and/or engineering background is a plus

  • Strong interest in hands-on learning and creative learning

  • Inquisitive, fun loving person who has strong rapport with children 

  • Strong work ethic: reliable, dependable, prompt and well-organised

  • A curious, problem solver who loves studying how things work

  • Commands a basic understanding of engineering and science principles and can explain concepts in clear and easy to follow fashion

  • Strong communication skills. Feels comfortable leading a group of children with adults on occasions. 

  • Strong command of English

 

DBS/CRB updates will be conducted on all successful candidates.   You are required to read Little STEMs Safeguarding policy.

 

Work is mainly in the school holidays, afterschool and Saturday mornngs.

 

 

Hours

9:30am – 1pm

Hourly rate

Lead Facilitator rate is £16 per hour

Little STEMs Assistent Facilitators

 

  

 

You will be

  • At least 16 years of age

  • Has experience working with primary aged children

  • Inquisitive, fun loving person who has strong rapport with children  

  • Strong work ethic: reliable, dependable, prompt and well-organised  

  • Has a strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) subjects

  • Strong communication skills 

 

DBS/CRB updates will be conducted on all successful candidates.   You are required to read Little STEMs Safeguarding policy.

 

Hours

10:00 -1pm

Dates: TBC

Hourly rate: £9
